SplitLog

Privacy policy

Effective September 29, 2026

The short version. SplitLog does not collect any data. It has no accounts and no server. Everything you log stays on your iPhone, under your control.

SplitLog is a workout log for iPhone made by Abel Anand, an independent developer ("the developer"). This policy explains what happens to the information you put into the app.

What the developer collects

Nothing. The app does not send your workouts, or any other information about you or your device, to the developer or to anyone else. There is no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The app contains no third-party analytics or advertising software.

What is stored, and where

InformationWhyWhere
Workouts you log: titles, dates, exercises, sets, weights, reps, cardio figures, timing and notesTo show your history, progress, records and streakOn your iPhone, inside the app
Settings: units, weekly goal, theme and reminder choicesTo run the app the way you choseOn your iPhone, inside the app
A summary of your streakTo draw the Home Screen widgetOn your iPhone, shared only between the app and its widget

All of it is information you typed in yourself. SplitLog does not read Apple Health, your location, your contacts, your photos, your microphone or your camera, and does not use advertising or device identifiers.

Copies you choose to make

Sharing with third parties

The developer shares nothing, because the developer receives nothing. There are no third parties with access to your data through the app.

Reminders

Reminders are local notifications scheduled by your own iPhone. They are optional, and nothing about them leaves the device.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your log is kept for as long as you keep it. You are the only one who can delete it, and you can do so at any time:

Backup files and iPhone backups you made earlier are yours to delete from wherever you stored them. There is nothing for the developer to delete, as the developer holds no copy.

Security

The log is stored in the app's private area on your iPhone, which other apps cannot read, and is protected by the iPhone's own encryption when the device is locked with a passcode. Anyone who can unlock your iPhone can open SplitLog. A backup file is not encrypted by SplitLog, so keep it somewhere you trust.

This website

This website is a set of plain pages with no cookies or tracking. It is hosted by GitHub Pages, which, like any web host, receives your IP address when you load a page. See GitHub's privacy statement.

The support page has a ticket form. What you type there, together with the email address you give for the reply, is sent to SplitLog's support inbox (dvapptester1@gmail.com), relayed by Web3Forms, a form-to-email service, or by your own mail app if the form cannot send. It is used only to answer you and is not added to any list.

Children

SplitLog does not collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights over personal data that an organisation holds about you. The developer holds none. Your data is on your own device, where you can read, export, correct and delete it yourself.

Changes

If SplitLog ever changes in a way that affects this policy, the new policy will be posted here with a new effective date before the change reaches the app, and the app's update notes will say so.
